About

Alexei V. Samsonovich is a Professor at Cybernetics Department of ICIS NRNU MEPhI, Head of BICA Lab (International Research Laboratory "Cognitive Architectures and Semantic Technologies", Cybernetics Dept), Scientific Advisor of ICIS NRNU MEPhI. Holds PhD in Applied Mathematics from University of Arizona (1997). Since 2000 Research Assistant Professor / Assistant Professor in George Mason University, since 2015 Professor at NRNU MEPHI. Recipient of 7 grant awards. Founder of BICA Society and BICA Conference Series. Main scientific results: (1) biological continuous attractor neural network theory; (2) semantic mapping technique; (3) cognitive architectures GMU BICA and eBICA. Currently working to combine cognitive (eBICA) and neural network approaches in AI. Contact: AVSamsonovich@mephi.ru
